Her commitment extends to promoting the Arts in her community, achieved through both advocacy and hands-on involvement. By engaging with her community and nurturing creativity among the youth, she strives to pave the way for meaningful change within the entertainment industry.

Shazia’s journey is anchored in her academic foundation, rooted in her time at UCLA. During her undergraduate years, she explored how individuals’ representations in visual media influence their global narratives, and subsequently, their lived experiences. Graduating in 2015 with a degree in global studies and film, she laid the groundwork for her transformative career.
Prior to entering the entertainment realm, Shazia made a significant impact in the nonprofit sector. Working with The Strategic Insights Group, a nonprofit management consulting firm, she provided strategic recommendations to nonprofits across southern California. This experience not only cultivated her strategic acumen but also reinforced the significance of social justice work, inspiring her eventual transition into the creative field.

Shazia’s journey in Hollywood commenced as a production assistant, an all too familiar path for many seasoned professionals. Over the years, she progressed to become a coordinator with reputable advertising companies, amassing valuable experience and insight into the industry. In 2019, she achieved a pivotal breakthrough by becoming Director’s Assistant to Lena Khan on her Disney+ Feature, Flora and Ulysses.
